Top professionals competed in the Virginia Hunter Championships, presented by Markel. Rion, owned by Anne Hormel and ridden by Sarah Tyndall, was awarded the $15,000 Professional Hunter Classic with a score of 89.
Second-place honors went to Kaboom 18, owned and ridden by Tillie Hall, after earning a score of 88. Chris Wynne piloted Grace Owens’ Superlative to a third placing with a score of 87.5, and Maryellen Kroll’s Correlation and Terrie Mcleskey’s Landon to a fourth and fifth, with scores of 87 and 86, respectively. Counting Strides, LLC’s All I Want, ridden by Maria Shannon, finished in sixth place with a score of 85, and Good Vibes, owned by Alan Lohman and ridden by Sarah Tyndall, earned a score of 84 and seventh place. Katherine Schmidt Butler’s Idle Hour, ridden by Bonnie Rhea Adams, finished in eighth with a score of 83.5, and On Point, owned by Alisa Berry and ridden by Jason Berry, finished in ninth. Abby Cole’s On Your Mark, ridden by Kasey Evans, wrapped up the class in tenth place. |
