The Virginia Horse Center Foundation story began 40 years ago with the shared dream of some 90 community-minded leaders who championed the concept of a dedicated equestrian showground that could simultaneously serve as a community and economic hub.

Today, the Horse Center story continues with 600 acres featuring a 4,000-seat coliseum, 7 indoor arenas, 10 outdoor arenas, 745 stalls, more than 7 miles of trails, and 120 campsites. For 40 years, the Virginia Horse Center has hosted countless equestrians and their beloved horses on our grounds, with all breeds, disciplines, and skill levels welcomed with equal care, attention to detail, and safety.

The generous support of members of our donor family has surrounded the Horse Center just as the Blue Ridge Mountains encircle us with their majesty, an appropriate setting for that most majestic of animals, the horse.
