A thrilling day of competition has ended as VHC Eventing, presented by Capital Square, officially got underway on Friday, with many divisions competing in dressage and show jumping. Following the First Horse Inspection, which kicked off the competition at VHC Eventing, presented by Capital Square, its green lights and all systems go. The Ground Jury for the CCI2*-L and CCI1*-L divisions assessed all 26 combinations entered for competitive readiness, accepting all pairs with no holds or representations. The $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby, presented by the Heisley Family Foundation, kicked off the Triple Crown Derby Day in the Sandy Gerald Arena. Addison Reed Pilots “Keina” to Victory in the $25,000 Rockbridge Grand Prix

Sanmar Farm’s Keina, ridden by Addison Reed, won last night’s $25,000 Rockbridge Grand Prix in an exciting jump off to the crowd’s delight and Keina’s owner, Sandra Ruiz. Ruiz said, “I am so excited! I’m excited to have such a nice horse; it’s amazing!” With a first-round time allowed set at 79 seconds, four would advance to the jump off.
