Virginia Horse Industry Board Grants Support Growth at the Virginia Horse Center
Lexington, Va. – April 27, 2026 – The Virginia Horse Center Foundation is proud to recognize and thank the Virginia Horse Industry Board (VHIB) for its generous investment in the growth and success of Virginia’s equestrian industry through grants supporting the Foundation. VHIB’s mission to expand access, support education, and create opportunities for riders and organizations of all levels aligns closely with our own. Through their grant program, designed to fund innovative marketing, outreach, and promotional initiatives, the Board is helping elevate equestrian sport across the Commonwealth and beyond. The Virginia Horse Center is honored to have received support for several key initiatives that will directly impact our community:
- Prize Money for Special Event Trail & Ranch Horse Classes: $15,000
Supporting the November Quarter Horse show, this funding will enhance competition opportunities and attract top-level participation.
- YEDA National Championship Week: $100,000
This significant investment will help position the Virginia Horse Center as a premier destination for national-level competition, welcoming youth equestrians from across the country.
- Official Website Refresh: $22,000
These funds will allow us to modernize our digital presence, creating a more accessible, user-friendly experience for exhibitors, spectators, and partners.
- Biosecurity Enhancements: $44,434
Prioritizing horse health and safety with our partner Merck, this initiative will strengthen on-site protocols and infrastructure to better protect all equine athletes at our facility.
These projects reflect our ongoing commitment to providing a top-tier venue for competition, education, and community engagement. With VHIB’s support, we are not only enhancing the experience at the Virginia Horse Center, but also contributing to the broader awareness campaign promoting Virginia as a leading equestrian destination.
We invite you to learn more about these initiatives and how this funding will shape the future of the Virginia Horse Center by visiting our website, and finally we are incredibly grateful to the Virginia Horse Industry Board for their partnership and dedication to our industry.
