• Removing trash in and around barns
• Cleaning stalls and wash racks
• Delivering shavings and hay to barns
• Operating equipment

VHC Employees are not responsible for taking care of the horses. This is done by exhibitors.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds (hay and shavings orders)
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Experience:

• Operate tractor, skid-steer, water truck and golf cart.
• Valid driver's license

The Virginia Horse Center is hiring a seasonal part-time seasonal candidate for the position of Stable Office Support.

Job Purpose:

• Assist with stable office operations.
• Take reservations and payments for stalls, golf carts, campers etc.
• Assist all customers with timely accommodation to their needs.

Reports To:

• Stable Office Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School diploma
• 2 to 3 years in an office setting
• Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
• Cash Receipts
• Customer Service

Job Type: Seasonal Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour

The Virginia Horse Center is hiring both seasonal part-time candidates for the position of Food Service Worker.

Job Purpose:
To provide exceptional food service to show managers and customers during VHC horse shows and other events.

Reports To:
Food and Beverage Manager

Job Duties:
- Greet customers and answer questions about menu items and specials.

- Take food or drink orders.

- Relay customer’s orders to kitchen staff.

- Prepare food and drink orders, such as sandwiches, salads, and coffee.

- Accept payments and balance receipts.

- Serve food and drinks to customers at the counter.

- Clean assigned work areas, dining tables, or serving counters.

- Replenish and stock service stations, cabinets, and tables.

- Personnel are expected to follow all safe food handling procedures in the performance of their duties as well as adhere to all ABC laws.
